Celebrate spring on the high streets
To introduce visitors to all the shopping streets of Haarlem, shopping streets will be in bloom over a 4-week period (from March 6 to April 2).
Haarlem Flower City
To involve entrepreneurs in the activation, we like to make them part of "Haarlem Flower City. Every entrepreneur who signs up will receive a crate (100 colorful tulips) on their doorstep. These may be given out to customers who have made a purchase. The tulip picking garden in the shopping streets will tie in with the 'Flower Market and Tulip Picking Garden'.

Window displays in bloom!
During this activation, it is also possible to enter the window display contest Bloei Op, "Who has the most beautiful spring window display?" This contest will take place from March 1 to April 7. We will award a beautiful prize to the entrepreneur who has created their window display to the most original, inspiring and spring-tastic window display.
1st prize: Advertisement / social media post Haarlem City Blog worth €500,00
2nd prize: Visibility company digital screens Haarlem (via Haarlem Marketing) worth €250,00.
Colorful Tulip picking garden and flower market
On Sunday, April 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Grote Markt will be transformed into a sea of flowers. The flower market will feature entrepreneurs from Haarlem and external market stallholders from the surrounding area with beautiful, colorful, spring and flower products. Here visitors can come into direct contact with the entrepreneurs Haarlem (or surroundings) has to offer. The entrepreneurs can refer visitors to the physical store for more information or a wider assortment. There will also be a tulip picking garden with 40,000 tulips! If visitors to the city center have made a purchase at one of the entrepreneurs worth at least 10 euros, they can come and pick tulips (10 pieces) for free. Surprise your loved one, neighbor, friend or yourself with a bunch of tulips, because who doesn't get happy with flowers?
